About our Farms

We are the McCormack family, Doug and Amanda.  This is a family enterprise, and as we grow, you will be meeting assorted members, including our children, Grace and Emily, our parents, and assorted other family members and friends.

Doug has been in the wholesale business for many years as a partner in his family’s McCormack Nursery in Howey In The Hills.  As soon as we moved to the corner of Hwy. 48 and Bloomfield Avenue in Yalaha, we immediately started dreaming and planning for what is now Blue Bayou Farms and Produce Market.

One of our recent additions occurred in 2007 when we dug up one of our old orange groves, and planted four and a half acres of blueberry bushes, and many of you have been the beneficiareis of that harvest this year.

We also feature some citrus and vegetables from other locally grown farms to bring you the best selection of produce in the area.
